I think I need a sunrise, I'm tired of the sunset

Brrr

In November, December, and January I was worried about global warming. We had days in December where the temp was in the 60's and pushing the 70's. In Erie, PA that's unheard of. But after this past week, my fears of global warming have been pushed to the backburner.

Day after day we have seen temperatures with the windchill making it below zero. I told Lauren that I wish we could have just spread out the cold throughout the past 4 months. Instead of having such warm weather until the end of January, I would prefer to have 40 degrees throughout winter. This below zero crap is for the birds.

Speaking of birds, well, speaking of animals... I'm pretty sure that we will be having kittens in the apartment in 9 weeks. All day Sunday Jack and Ryme were acting like teenagers and I caught them again today going at it. So if anyone is interested in kittens let me know! I can gaurantee that they will be super cute, I mean, just check out their parents...

How old am I?

It's a weird thing to realize that you're growing up. There have been several things in the past few months that have made me think that maybe I am growing up. But one thing that makes me feel old is seeing clips of high school sports on the news and not knowing a single person that is playing. And not even being able to say "oh yeah, thats Steph's younger brother". Even all of the younger siblings have graduated. I was on myspace the other day and found the profiles of two kids that I used to babysit for. One is now 19 and the other 17. How weird is that? My friends and I are now at a point where we can no longer say that a high school football player is hot (even though I'm not the one that needs to worry about that) without feeling like a perve.

That's random, I know, but when I watch the news I force myself to think about things other than the war, car accidents, and a duck that just wont die.

Today I was moving a few things around in my room to see if I wanted to completely re-arrange my room or not. (I get bored easily) And while I was doing so I found 8 hair ties in the corner where my bed was. It took me almost a 1/2 hour to realize how they all got there. I knew that I hadn't been secretly putting them there. It wasn't until I caught Ryme in the act that I realized how all of my missing hair ties had ended up under my bed.

Our cats are just like little kids. You know how little kids get a nice present and instead of wanting to play with the present they are more interested in the box. The cats are the same way. They have a ton of those little rattle balls that I'm constantly stepping on, but instead they would like to play with hair ties, pens, and wrappers. I wish I could be so easily amused.

Has everyone heard about Groovr? Probably not because its really new. But you should probably go and check it out. Especially if you are one of those constant away message checkers. And I know that most of you are. The site has you put in your cell phone number and then you are able to text/email the site to update where you are. If you are at the same location as one of your friends it lets you know who all is there. You can also send pictures to the site to go straight to your profile and the location where you sent them from. It might sound too geeky for most of you, but you might as well check it out while you're playing on the computer instead of doing your (home)work.

I think its time for me to make some tea and cuddle up under my blankets... I told you I was getting old...
