I think I need a sunrise, I'm tired of the sunset

Yes, I am alive!

So again, I've been super busy and super horrible about keeping this thing updated. So I apologize to everyone who has been sending me texts and ims asking me to update.

So what have I been up to the last 2 months? Well I guess I should start by saying where I am right now... In a truck stop. Working. Yes, I'm working at the truck stop. Get all of those dirty thoughts out of your head, I'm no "lot lizard" (a phrase that I have just been made aware of in the past 3 weeks. Aflac has actually teamed up with Travel Centers of America to offer products to truckers. It seems that they make really good money, but have really bad health coverage, so its a great fit. Plus they don't seem to mind when Lauren and I greet them when they walk in after being on the road all day. Its been an odd time working here. I've only done it for the past 3 weeks, a day or two a week. I already have a stalker. And unlike Lauren's stalker, mine works at the truck stop. He's not a trucker. So he's here every time that I am. And I'm guessing that he loves the truck stop, because he stays here hours upon hours after his shift is done. He will walk up to our table, stand for a few minutes. Say "you're so pretty" and then walk away. No joke. And he wont come up to me when Lauren is here. He waits for her to go to the restroom before skipping over to me. Today during my shift I had two other Travel Center employees come up to me and warn me about him. I am supposedly going to be receiving some roses. Haha. Oh, I forgot to mention that this guy is probably in his late 30s and has 1 1/2 front teeth. Maybe I could sell him a dental policy? All in all though, working here has been pretty hilarious. We get a new joke every day, and these guys love to talk (and buy) from us. Ok, I just got whistled at and have no idea which one of the three guys in front of me it was. If it wasn't an invasion of privacy (especially since we're dealing with personal health care issues)I would definitely have my cam up so everyone could get their daily dose of entertainment.

I guess now would be a good time to make a list of things I have learned while working at the truck stop:

    * "lot lizard" - a term used to describe women who knock on the doors of trucks parked at a truck stop, offering them... "services".
    * Lauren and I are too nice and need to learn how to people to leave us alone. "Shit or get off the pot" as Lauren would say.
    * Pennsylvania women are known by truckers as being the most likely to flash them
    * Truck stops literally have everything you need to survive. (food/bathroom/laundry/internet)
    * Truck drivers will call you at 3am to make sure that you gave them the right phone number to call if something happens and they need to make a claim.
    * Men are pansies and need to ask their wives for permission to do everything.

... I'm sure that I will think of some more things to add to this later, but back to the rest of past 2 months...

I spent about 3 weeks at the end of May and beginning of June in Greensburg, PA (south-east of Pittsburgh) enrolling employees at the First National Banks there. It was definitely a learning experience for Lauren and I. Working with big accounts is much different than working with small local ones.

I have also been training more people at work. It really makes me see how much I have changed/learned/grown in the past year. It's too hard to believe that I have been out of college for over a year now. I've almost been working with Aflac for a whole year (September 15th is when I was hired)

Oh, I just thought of something, I have seen more "she-males" during my time working at the truck stop than I have the rest of my life. I have yet to see one of those "lot lizards", but its rumored that some of them are one in the same.

Wow, this entry is so scattered. And not too humorous. Its hard writing because I still need to be professional. And usually when I write an entry I crack myself up and end up laughing hysterically. So this entry has definitely been toned down. I don't want people thinking that I'm one of those weird people that hang out at the truck stops.

Ok, I guess I should try a little harder to work, especially since I am staying AFTER my shift right now.

Hopefully it wont take me 2 months to write my next entry!
